The Kulhudhuffushi Regional Port Development Project and the Thinadhoo Regional Port Development Project Phase 2 have been handed over to Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC).
The agreements were signed between MTCC and Maldives Ports Limited (MPL). From MTCC CEO Adam Azim and COO Shahid Hussain and from MPL, CEO Shahid Ali and Chief Engineer Adam Mohamed were the signatories.
With a value of MVR 138 million, the Kulhudhuffushi Regional Port Development Project is required to be completed within 495 days. MTCC has planned to dredge the lagoon, build a new jetty, install revetment and navigation lights, as well as build an administrative building and a workshop, and conduct an Environmental Impact Assessment.
With a value of MVR 17 million, the Thinadhoo Regional Port Development Project Phase 2 is required to be completed within 330 days. MTCC has planned to build a port administrative building, a guardhouse, a warehouse, and a workshop, and install a porch and navigation lights.
