Since introduced in 2014 by the Ministry of Gender, Family and Social Services, the annual Rehendhi Award has been celebrating the efforts and accomplishments of women in key roles making significant contributions to the empowerment of women in the Maldivian society. Organizations and individuals are awarded with National honors for striving to break the barriers against gender inequality, further endorsing their meaningful work and inspiring others to start contributing too.  
 
Nominations are now open for Rehendhi Award 2022, accepting application in 5 different categories.  

• Women only application in 14 different fields 
• Employers 
• Women empowerment committees 
• Clubs and associations 
• Male and female individuals contributing in the society 

 
Application forms must be completed and submitted before February 15, 2022, by 2 p.m.
