BBQ Time in B. Goidhoo!

We all love a good BBQ time and the islanders of Goidhoo in Baa Atoll are excited about the newly developed BBQ Area in the island. This project was carried out by , Goidhoo Sports and Youth Development Society with assistance from BML Community Fund.
 
The space was already in use as a popular picnic spot for holidaymakers and islanders of Goidhoo. Now, it has been revamped with a hut, barbecue grills and a dining space with tables and benches. It is always advised to practice safe hygiene and keep the environment clean, so make use of the dustbins placed in the vicinity to ensure proper waste management.

 
“Our mission is to create a space for families to strengthen relations and bring the community together in the spirit of recreation and relaxation,” says Hassan Nizam, President of B. Goidhoo Sports and Youth Development Society.
 
“Through Community Fund, we have been able to support remarkable projects that have played a key role in the development of the islands infrastructure and helped the community engage socially. We are delighted to support Goidhoo and hope that this project contributes to a positive community spirit within the island.” stated BML’s Public Relations Manager, Mohamed Saeed.
 
BML continues on its assistance to the public through Community Fund, an ambitious program that empower individuals and NGOs to take up sustainable projects for the betterment of their communities. So far, 60 projects have been completed across the nation under this program.
