14 Colleges and Universities in Maldives Given Access to JSTOR e-library
An official ceremony was held in Youth Buzz in Male’ City on Monday to commence the provision of online library services in Higher Education Institutions in the Maldives.
Officiated by Minister of Higher Education Dr. Ibrahim Hassan, 14 colleges and universities in the Maldives now have access to services of JSTOR e-library. They are:
- MAPS College
- Cyryx College
- MI College
- Maldives Business School
- Mandhu College
- Avid College
- Clique College
- College of Defense and Security Studies
- National College of Policing and Law Enforcement
- Maldives National University
- Islamic University of Maldives
- Zikura International College
- Villa College
- Maldives Polytechnic
Speaking at the ceremony, Minister highlighted the promising scope of this new venture, which gives access to millions of academic journals and books on the platform. He further emphasized on the Ministry’s efforts on improving the quality of higher education in the Maldives.
The project was implemented with financial support provided by UNDP in the Maldives.
The launching of Higher Education Institutions’ Statistics Portal also took place during the ceremony.
