MWSC Makes Progress on Ongoing Projects in R. Dhuvaafaru

Dhuvaafaru, an island in Raa Atoll is seeing immense progress of the ongoing projects in the island carried out by Male’ Water and Sewerage Company.  
 
With the vision to improve water safety and provide efficient sewerage services on the island, MWSC set on the mission to make its operations on Dhuvaafaru island more sustainable with the installation of solar grids. 
 
Under the R. Dhuvaafaru Clean Energy Project, installation of 35 kWp solar grid at the Bottling Factory on the island is now complete. This adds up to a total of 83-kWp clean energy that can now be generated for Dhuvaafaru operations, including the existing 48-kWp solar grid that was installed at Operation Centre in 2013.  

 
Moreover, MWSC has delivered transformers and equipment required for power network upgrade project also implemented on the island. The plan is to stabilize the grid and avoid power shortages during peak hours, especially in the month of Ramadan.   
 
MWSC is working towards providing affordable and environment friendly solutions to its customers with such ambitious projects taking place in islands across the Maldives.
