Tourism Minister Takes Part In The UAE’s Global Citizen Forum In Ras Al Khaimah

Under the theme ‘Future in Motion’, the Global Citizen Forum was a successful event that took place from December 12^th to 13^th at Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. The forum was filled with Delegates from countries across the globe.
 
The Minister of Tourism of Maldives participated in the event upon an invitation from the CEO of Khaimah Tourism Development, Rakhi Phillips. Accompanying the Minister was the Senior Executive Director of Tourism Ministry, Abdullah Mohamed, the Communications Director of Tourism Ministry, Fathmath Niusha and the Legal Officer of Tourism Ministry, Usa Ibrahim.

 
The Forum focused on global opportunities and challenges, human mobility for tourism and economic diversification, along with women & youth empowerment.
 
Minister Mausoom took part in the ‘Climate Action – The First Frontier’ penal discussion where he highlighted the Net Zero goal the country has for 2030 and the hard work the government along with industry partners are doing to maintain the environmental sustainability focused on the huge demand in the Tourism Industry of Maldives.  

 
Minister Mausoom also stressed on the importance of the technical support the highly developed countries should be providing to the low developing countries in order to globally come together to stop the Global Warming effect on mother earth.
