The Magey Raajje’ Calendar for 2022 has been launched with exciting features that shows the beauty of Maldives through Augmented reality. The launch took place at the special ceremony that took place at Ooredoo’s Head Office where the Minister of Tourism, Dr Abdulla Mausoom and the Managing Director & CEO of Ooredoo Maldives, Najib Khan graced the ceremony.
The fauna of the Maldives is shown in each month of the calendar, along with a short overview. Users can enjoy an augmented reality experience that brings the highlighted marine creatures to life by just scanning the Snapchat code on the page.
In addition to the AR function, the calendar includes origami paper that can be constructed into the month's featured animal, making the calendar even more interactive and enjoyable for users of all ages! How cool is that?
Ooredoo Maldives website also has a video with step-by-step directions for making each month's origami. Users can access the instructions video by scanning the QR code on the origami paper.
Highlighting that the innovative project, integrated with AR, was designed to complement the Maldives Tourism Golden Jubilee celebrations, the Managing Director & CEO of Ooredoo Maldives, Najib Khan expressed his enthusiasm over the launch. He promised that the company will always remain committed to the individuals of Maldives, contributing to its development and celebrating the country’s victories.
Also speaking at the launch was the Minister of Tourism, Dr Abdulla Mausoom where he appreciated the support and initiative taken by Ooredoo Maldives for the tourism recovery and the celebrations of Tourism Golden Year 2022.
