In a special ceremony held at the Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure today, Maldives Transport and Contracting Company has been contracted for the land reclamation project of F. Feeali island.
Scheduled to be completed within 450 days, the project is valued at MVR 66, 853, 846.69. The scope of work includes reclamation of 13.8 hectares of land, with a protective revetment of 1606 m to be built around the reclaimed island for shore protection. 5 groins of 30 m each will also be constructed as part of this project.
The contract was signed by Adam Azim, CEO of MTCC and Fathimath Shana Farooq, Director General of MNPHI.
