SmartCom City Brand Launched By HDC With Major Hopes Of Digitalizing Hulhumale’ City

With the hopes for the future, Housing Development Corporation launches SmartCom, digitally connecting the city of Hulhumale’, in a ceremony held at Hotel Jen on December 11th, 2021.

The ceremony was graced with Minister of Economic Development, Fayyaz Ismail who was accompanied by State Officials, Officials from HDC, Officials from partnering companies; Dhiraagu, Ooredoo & MediaNet along with other officials involved in the project.

SmartCom's mission is to digitally connect different communities in Hulhumale. One of SmartCom's key goals is to use a variety of smart solutions to carry out the city's activities. One of the government's goals is to form various partnerships in order to realize this vision. It also aspires to use technology and creativity to make people's lives easier in a sustainable way with the community's support.

Launched under the SmartCom brand, HDC believes that the intelligent solutions bring many benefits and conveniences to people, businesses and government agencies, including public, business, economic development and job creation.

Moreover, partnerships, incubators, and similar programs offer opportunities for qualified young people interested in the technology industry, as well as small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and those considering to enter the industry.
