MWSC’s MD Kick-Starts Water & Sewerage Projects In Three Islands of Aa.Atoll

Male’ Water & Sewerage Company (MWSC) has inaugurated three water and sewerage projects in Aa.Mathiveri, Aa.Feridhoo & Aa.Himandhoo in three ceremonies held in the islands.

Currently, the Managing Director of MWSC, Hassan Shah is in between travels to different islands, kick-starting their projects in each island. The MD is accompanied by other officials from the company along with council members.

The Water project in Aa.Mathiveri was inaugurated with a groundbreaking ceremony in the island. The MD of MWSC, Hassan Shah was accompanied by the Chairman of Maldives Post Limited, Mohamed Abdulla, Parliament Member of Mathiveri, Hassan Zaeer and the Council President of Mathiveri, Ahmed Aslam.

Scope of works for the project in Mathiveri include the development of 86 km of main water pipeline network, development of R.O. facility building, development of two R.O. plants and the development of three water storage tanks.

The water meter facilities, providing water connection and supplying clean drinking water will also be disbursed to the island residents under this project that is valued to a total of MVR 38.83 million.

The Water & Sewerage project in Aa.Feridhoo was inaugurated with a groundbreaking ceremony in the island. The MD of MWSC, Hassan Shah was accompanied by the Board Member of MWSC, Ibrahim Anwar, Parliament Member of Mathiveri, Hassan Zareer and Feridhoo Council President, Ismail Shah.

Scope of works for the project in Feridhoo include the development of a 6.77 km of main water pipeline network, development of R.O. facility building, development of two R.O. plants and the development of three water storage tanks.

Additionally, development of 5 km of sewerage network, development of 1.07 km of pump line, development of three pump stations and one sea outflow will also be established. The water meter facilities, providing water connection and supplying clean drinking water will also be disbursed to the island residents under this project that is valued to a total of MVR 69.33 million.

The Water & Sewerage project in Aa.Himandhoo was inaugurated with a groundbreaking ceremony held in the island. The MD of MWSC, Hassan Shah was accompanied by the Board Member of MWSC, Ibrahim Anwar, Parliament Member of Mathiveri, Hassan Zareer and Himandhoo Council President, Husham Ismail.

Scope of works for the project in Himandhoo include the development of 35 km of main water pipeline network, development of R.O. facility building, development of two R.O. plants and the development of three water storage tanks.

Additionally, development of 31 km of sewerage network, development of 956 m of pump line, development of three pump stations and one sea outflow will also be established along with connecting resident houses to the sewerage line. The water meter facilities will also be disbursed to the island residents under this project that is valued to a total of MVR 65.83 million.
