A special signing ceremony took place at the head office of WAMCO, in which the company signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment.
The signing ceremony took place in regard of the on-going National Apprenticeship Program, where WAMCO will train 29 individuals. Managing Director at WAMCO, Adam Mohamed signed on behalf of the company whilst the State Minister to the Youth Ministry, Hussain Ismail signed on behalf of the Ministry.
The program that will be conducted in accordance to the standards of National Skills Development Authority, will train individuals in the areas of welding, cashiering, inventory management, heavy vehicle operations, marine mechanics and automotive maintenances.
WAMCO will be providing a monthly allowance of MVR 5000 to the individuals taking part in the program. The participants also stand a chance to be given permanent positions in the company.
