Fishermen’s Day To Be Celebrated This Year At K.Gaafaru

Ministry of Fisheries, Marine Resources and Agriculture is hosting a Fishermen’s Forum this year at K.Gaafaru to celebrate the 41^st Fishermen’s Day in Maldives and to appreciate the hard labor put in by the fishermen for one of the main resources in the country.

The forum that will be held on December 8^th to 9^th, is solely dedicated to find out the difficulties the fishermen endure in the industry. The Ministry mentioned in their announcement that these hardships will be heard and solutions will be offered during the forum where Nooraajje will also be familiarized.

Maldives Seafood Processor and Exporters Association (MSPEA) will also take part in the forum, and will be giving out information on their latest project, Fisheries Improvement Project, that introduces the behind-the-scenes of the fifth generation Fishing Vessels.

More fisheries related organizations are also set to take part in the forum along with the Ministry of Fisheries, Marine Resources & Agriculture.
