On December 6th, 2021, two ceremonies took place at the President’s office where credentials were presented to President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih by Ambassador of Tunisia to Maldives and Ambassador of Austria to Maldives. President Solih congratulated the ambassadors for their appointments and welcomed them to Maldives.
With the Ambassador of Tunisia to Maldives, Hayet Talbi Bilel, President Solih discussed an array of important topics including strengthening bilateral relations, the Covid-19 situation, development cooperation, and bolstering international cooperation.
Furthermore, President Solih and Ambassador discussed potential avenues of cooperation and the exchange of expertise in the fields of fisheries, agriculture and tourism. Ambassador assured President Solih of Tunisia's continued support in the areas of human rights, counter-terrorism, peace, and security.
On another ceremony, President Solih with Ambassador of Austria to Maldives, Katharina Wieser, held discussions on an array of topics ranging from bilateral and multilateral relations, Covid-19, education and human resource development, visa facilitation, tourism cooperation, and climate change.
