MWSC Inaugurates Two Projects In Sh.Feevah And Sh.Goidhoo

Male’ Water & Sewerage Company (MWSC) initiates two main projects in two islands of Sh.Atoll. The Managing Director of MWSC, Hassan Shah, was accompanied by other officials, visited two islands that hosted ceremonies for the inaugural.

In Sh.Feevah, Hassan Shah was accompanied by Member of Parliament for Milandhoo Constituency, Ali Riza, where groundbreaking took place. The Water Project valued to MVR 49.60 million is aimed by MWSC in hopes of providing clean and safe drinking water for the residents of Sh.Feevah.

The project entails the building of a 9.18-kilometer main water pipeline network, the installation of two RO units, and the construction of three water storage tanks. Water meters will also be installed in resident homes in Sh.Feevah, water connections will be established and clean and safe drinking water will also be distributed.

Furthermore, Hassan Shah and other officials from MWSC also made their way to Sh.Goidhoo to establish Water & Sewerage Project in the island. Member of Parliament for Kanditheemu Constituency, Abdulla Shaheem also attended the groundbreaking inauguration ceremony. The project valued at MVR 86.05 million is aimed to provide safe and clean drinking water to the island residents of Sh.Goidhoo along with proper sewerage systems being established.

Scope of works for the project include connection of water to 260 households, 12.07 kilometers of water viuga establishment, installment of two RO units, the construction of two water storage tanks, construction of one rain water storage tank and establishing rain water harvesting system. For sewerage works, one sea outflow will be established, connection for sewerage in 260 households, establishing 4 pump stations and establishing 1.48 kilometers of pumping main.
