The goal of empowering youth has been set on full blast with more organizations and companies joining Ministry of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment for their National Apprenticeship Program. One of the latest additions to the course include Male’ Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC).
For the signing ceremony, the Managing Director of MWSC, Hassan Shah signed on behalf of the company whilst State Minister to Ministry of Youth, Hussain Ismail signed on behalf of the Ministry.
By signing the Memorandum of Understanding, MWSC has given the opportunity for 15 of their employees to further enhance their knowledge int heir respective fields through this program. In addition, 73 slots are open for youth from the public to gain the experience of industrial knowledge.
Kick-starting in December, the program is set to take place for 6 months in which the partakers are also set to be getting a monthly allowance from MWSC. The graduates will be getting a Certificate level 3 after completion.
With the aim of empowering youth in the country, the National Apprenticeship Program is turning out to be one of the most successful programs ever to take place in the country.
