Like last year, in celebration of Global Hour of Code, Women in Tech in association with the Ministry of Education is hosting this year’s ‘Hour of Code’ on December 18th, 2021.
The Hour of Code is a global initiative by Computer Science Education Week and Code.org to introduce millions of students across the globe to one hour of computer science and computer programming. From December 6th to 12th, the worldwide movement takes place in 180 countries. A one-hour enjoyable introduction to computer programming is included in the curriculum for participants of all ages.
The main event will be held virtually through Google Meet while the Physical exercises will take place in different parts of the country simultaneously. If schools, institutes, civil organizations, or community groups desire, they can register to attend the session in person.
A team of mentors who have been particularly trained to lead the program will facilitate both physical and virtual lessons. The mentors will be trained and resources for running the sessions will be shared by the Hour of Code team.
Registrations for this program are now open until December 9th, 2021. Individual participants or Institutes can use the relevant registration links on https://www.womenintechmv.org/hourofcodemv to participate in the event.
