M.Kolhufushi To Undergo Shore Protection Project By MTCC

Ministry of National Planning, Housing & Infrastructure contracts Maldives Transport & Contracting Company for the Shore Protection Project of M.Kolhufushi Island adding another project to the portfolio of MTCC.

The project signing ceremony took place on November 28^th, where Permanent Secretary of Ministry of National Planning, Housing & Infrastructure, Zeeniya Hameed and the Chief Operating Officer of MTCC, Shahid Hussain signed the contract on behalf of their respective organizations.

The scope of the works comprised for the project include revetment of 518.8 meters, development of 2 breakwaters (202.40 meters in total), filling of sand in the areas of soil erosion, development of 60x30 in area for swimming.

The project is worth MVR 22.96 million and the project is to be completed within 365 days. The ceremony was graced by MP for Mulaku Constituency, Ibrahim Naseer.
