The First Residential Treatment Center To Be Built In D.Kudahuvadhoo

The First Residential Treatment Center’s foundation stone laying ceremony was inaugurated by Minister of Home Affairs, Imran Abdullah that took place on November 26th in D.Kudahuvadhoo.

The treatment center is specialized for children that has behavioral problems and are not fit for the community with their life of crime. The center will treat them with programs and specialized care to get them ready to go back to society again.

The construction of the two-storey building project was handed over to V-Ava Investment Private Limited by the Home Ministry, to be completed within 450 days with a budget of USD 1.4 million.

Minister Imran, speaking at the event, stated that economic and financial stability are essential for everyone to have a happy and productive life.

As a result, the minister urged residents to collaborate with the government and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to repair the country's damaged neighborhoods. He believes that building strong individuals and family units is the key to creating a peaceful society, which will lead to a healthy country.
