Maldives Transport & Contracting Company concludes their ‘Centara New Resorts Maldives: Reclamation of 3 Different Islands’ project, marking a milestone for MTCC as this was one of the most extensive international projects in value that the company had undertaken on.
A ceremony was held at Centara Hotels and Resorts in order to celebrate the completion where the ceremony was graced by the chief guest, Minister of National Planning, Housing & Infrastructure, Mohamed Aslam.
The minister was accompanied by Minister of State for National Planning, Housing & Infrastructure, Akram Kamaaludheen, Minister of State for National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure, Shifaz Ali, Area General Manager of Centara Grand Island and Centara Ras Fushi, Prapaijit Thongma & CEO of MTCC, Adam Azim and other officials from MTCC.
The ‘Centara New Resorts Maldives: Reclamation of 3 Different Islands’ project was awarded to MTCC by Lagoon Assets Pvt Ltd with a value of total USD 26.29 million. Completed on November 24th, ‘The scope of works for the project included the reclamation of 3 artificial islands at Vattafaru. Each of these islands has an area of 7 hectares.
