MTCC Contracted With Three Shore Protection Projects

At a ceremony held, Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure signs with Maldives Transport and Contracting Services, contracting them with three major shore protection projects. The projects are set to take place in B.Dharavandhoo, B.Kendhoo and S.Hithadhoo.

In B.Kendhoo, the project worth MVR 39 million is set to be completed within 365 days. Scope of works include the development of 17 breakwaters in 803 meters, 2 groins of 90 meters, 80 meters of revetment of giant stones and a development of a swimming area of 40 x 20 mtrs.

In B.Dharavandhoo, the project worth MVR 22 million is set to be completed within 180 days. Scope of works include the development of 7 breakwaters in 490 meters, 96 meters of revetment of giant stones and enriching sand in the east shore area of the island.

In S.Hithadhoo, the project worth MVR 11 million is set to be completed within 165 days. Scope of works include the development of Jiotube revetment in 570 meters of land, 50 x 15 meters of swimming area development and 100 meters breakwater of giant stones.

During the ceremony, the Permanent Secretary of Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure, Aishath Zeeniya signed on behalf of the Ministry and the CEO of MTCC, Adam Azim signed on behalf of the company.
