Business Visa Now Made Available for Up To 6 Months

 
Maldives Immigration has updated the duration for tourists coming to the Maldives on Business Visa from 3 months to 6 months.  
 
The update also includes revisions to the renewal guidelines of the Business Visa as well. Previously, tourists can only extend the visa for an additional 30 days, but under the new guidelines, extension can be obtained for up to 90 days.  
 
Tourists who request for Business Visa and receive confirmation must travel to the Maldives within 3 months of approval. This is a reduction from the previous 6-month grace period given for the same condition.  
 
Business Visa is a temporary multiple-entry visa. Applications for the Business Visa has to be submitted to the Ministry of Economic Development via Ministry’s Business Portal.
