Environment Ministry Calls To Comment On Their List Of Single-Use Plastics To Ban In Maldives

On the approach of working towards a greener country, Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Technology has called out to all the Producers, Importers and Wholesalers in Maldives to comment on the "Timeline for banning the Production and Sales of Single-Use Plastic Products in Maldives."

The Ministry has prepared a list of single-use plastics that has to be banned and is seeking out for comments by the companies from Maldives to minimize and completely ban the one-time use plastic products being sold in the country. The Single-use Plastic Phase-out Plan is to be implemented by 2023.

The format available in the Ministry’s website, urges the companies to submit their thoughts and comments by November 28th, before 2 pm to their email address.
