Mission for Migrant Workers, Maldives (MMWM) carries out a successful Health Camp in Fuvahmulah Island. The Health Camp is known to be the very first health camp carried out by the organization for migrant workers. The successful event took place on November 19th at Fuvahmulah Island’s Youth Center.
Known as the very first non-profit organization working towards the rights of migrant workers in the Maldives, MMWM completed the event with associations from Bangladesh High Commission in Maldives, Fuvahmulah Island Council and Fuvahmulah Hospital. A total of 93 migrant workers got their health screened from this camp by the nurses and doctors provided by the island hospital, in which they even received free medicine as well.
MMWM states that this is just the beginning of their mission to create a safe and healthy working environment for migrant workers, providing them with equal rights in the country.
