‘Migrant Worker’s Are Just Like Us’ A Special Book Released For The Young Minds By MMWM

Mission for Migrant Workers Maldives, (MMWM) is the first registered non-profit organization in the Maldives working explicitly for migrant workers.

After endless years of systemic xenophobia and exploitation, the team at MMWM believes that it’s our collective social responsibility to ensure equal rights and fair treatment of migrant workers.

It is their vision to be the focal point in the Maldives to advocate for the rights, transform vulnerabilities and actualize justice for migrant workers by following a human rights-based approach. 

In the works of awareness being done in the country, MMWM has recently released a book, educating young minds of the importance of respecting the migrant workers in the country. In celebration of World’s Children’s Day, ‘Migrant Worker’s are Just Like Us’ book was released in a special ceremony recognizing the value of migrant workers in our society and appreciating the diversity.

The book was launched in the presence of ‘Leaders of Tomorrow’ in association with The Circle by Ugail Foundation.
