Girls To Code Program In Kulhudhuffushi Finishes With A Bang

What a fruitful event indeed as the ‘Girls To Code’ Program that started off on September 1st, has come to an end with their last session that took place on November 16th, 2021.

Dhiraagu in association with Women In Tech, Maldives holds annual programs that are aimed for the development of young talents, further empowering girls to pursue a career in the tech world.

The closing ceremony took place at Afeefudheen School at Kulhudhuffushi Island. The chief guest honoring the participants was the Kulhudhuffushi Island Mayor, Mohamed Athif.

Director Corporate at Dhiraagu, Athifa Ali, Manager Corporate, Social Responsibility at Dhiraagu, Bishaaraa Hameed, President of Women in Tech, Hindh Ali along with school officials and parents honored the event as well.

A total of 18 participants finished the program this year, marking a successful event in the journey of empowering young girls to educate themselves outside their comfort zone and take part in career marking in out-of-the-ordinary choices.
