In partnership with UNICEF, Advocating the Right’s of Children (ARC) has launched a child-friendly educational book titled ‘Boss of My Body’ to mark the World’s Day of Prevention of Child Abuse. At a ceremony held at Hulhumale’ Foiy Gaadiyaa yesterday, the launching event was graced by First Lady, Fazna Ahmed.
The book is available in both English & Dhivehi, making it more convenient and easier for children to understand the importance of being the boss of their on body and the choice being made relevant to it.
First Lady Fazna emphasized on the need of such books available more freely to children and parents across the country, in order to power the little humans.
ARC’s Executive Director, Zeena Zahid also stressed on the importance of early on education for parents and children about safe and unsafe touches. ARC as an organization / NGO has been working on preventing Child Abuse since 2010, and has carried out many successful events in the past on the topic.
The UNICEF Country Representative, Marjan Montazemi also spoke at the event highlighting the importance of creating a safe space for the little humans to grow in the world.
