‘Ihemaa’ Staff Training Program kick-starts with the first session completed yesterday on November 16th 2021. The program set to take place from November 16th to December 25th over 12 total sessions, is a training program aimed for the staff of immigration to boost their skills and enhance their customer services professions. The program is launched by Maldives Immigration in association with Maldives Association of Tourism Industry (MATY) and Corporate Maldives Academy.
Gracing the opening ceremony held yesterday at Clique College was Controller General of Immigration, Mohamed Ahmed Hussain. The Deputy Secretary General of MATY, As’adh Ali also attended the ceremony along with other officials.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Controller General of Immigration, Mohamed Ahmed Hussain highlighted the importance of professional customer service to the visitors in Maldives as the first face that the tourists are greeted by after landing in Maldives are of Maldives Immigrations. Hence, a simple smile and a professional service can elevate the “Sunny Side of Life” marketing in Maldives.
Furthermore, sharing his insight on the program, the Deputy Secretary General of MATY, As’adh Ali pressed on the importance of leaving a good first impression to the tourists visiting Maldives that will lay the foundation to their vacation in Maldives. He also stated the importance of keeping up with the statement ‘Maldivians are friendly people’ to the outside world in which not only does it boost the country’s reputation, but also boosts the reputation of Maldives Immigration.
A special badge that will be used for the sessions carried out through the program was launched during the ceremony. The programs will be carried out for all staffs in Maldives Immigration where it will be taken out in 10 sessions in Male’ City and 2 sessions in Islands.
