MACL Requests For Removal Of Vessels Moored Along Hulhule’ Northeastern Shoreline

Maldives Airport Company Ltd has recently released an announcement, requesting the owners of the vessels that has been secured and tied along the north-eastern shoreline of Hulhule’ Island, to be removed before December 15th, 2021.

The announcement was made by reason of the on-going shore protection project, where construction work is needed to be completed in the area of the shore. MACL has also highly stressed in the announcement that it is prohibited in the law for unauthorized vessels to be moored at the north-eastern shore of Hulhule’ Island.

Hulhule’ Island is located in the North Male’ Atoll of the Maldives, where the city airport, Velana International Airport carries out their operations.
