MWSC Inter-school Coastal Rowing Beach Sprint 2021, organized by the Rowing Association of Maldives, took place over a four-day course held from November 11th to 14th at Addu City. A total of 250 participants from 5 schools and 4 clubs competed in the jubilant tournament in which awards were given by the Managing Director of Maldives Water and Sewage Company, Hassan Shaahu. MWSC also happened to be the main sponsor for the event, showing their support for the tournament and the Row Association of Maldives.
Speaking at the Gala Dinner Night held in the celebration of the tournament, Managing Director of MWSC, Hassan Shaahu highly praised Row Association of Maldives for their dedication to develop and promote rowing as a recreational sport at a national level in the country. Attendees for the Gala Dinner night included the former Bilehdhoo Member of Parliament, Ahmed Hamza, Former Deputy Mayor of Addu City, Mohamed Yasrif, President of Rowing Association of Maldives, Ahmed Habeeb and senior school officials and students.
At the event, MWSC was also honored by the Representatives of Pakistan’s Rowing Team as a token of appreciation for their involvement in such tournaments.
