President Solih Haves An Insight Look At Maldives Polytechnic Premises

Students and Lecturers of Maldives Polytechnic gets the President, Ibrahim Mohamed Solih’s endorsement for showing their hard-working projects whilst touring the different premises and facilities. The President was thanked by the heads of Maldives Polytechnic for visiting and setting additional inspiration for the skilled Maldivians embracing their effort for national development.

President Solih was presented with the Electronic Greenhouse Management Systems built by the students of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. This remarkable system will facilitate the development of a cost-effective solution for managing greenhouses. The students also presented the president with their Indoor Plant Lighting System that was designed under the “Smart Planters” providing a sustainable growth of indoor plants.

Following up with this, the President then toured the Automotive workshop where he viewed the state-of-the-art equipment used to train future automotive engineers. Next, President Ibrahim Solih visited the architecture studio where he inspects the architectural models developed by Maldives Polytechnic Architecture students.

After touring the Welding and Machining Workshop and seeing the students’ welding at work, President Solih was then led to the inspection of the Refrigeration Workshop where the CEO of Maldives Polytechnic, Ahmed Nasir briefed the president about their future plans to redesign refrigeration and air conditioning courses in line with the work to combat climate change. To conclude the president’s trip, President Solih toured the Fashion Design and Tailoring classroom, greeting the students and then inspecting some of the works done by former and current carpentry students of Furniture and Carpentry programs.
