“BML Scholarship Fund” launched today as the first of series of 12 high impact monthly community initiatives to celebrate leading up to the banks 40th anniversary in November 2022. The details of the scholarship and application process as well as the eligibility criteria will be published on the BML’s website on a later date.
The scholarship will provide fully funded international scholarships for three students in the area of Banking and Finance. The fund is aimed at developing talented young Maldivians for the field where the youth can take full advantage of developing their skills and broadening their education knowledge. This annual fund will be open for students of all ages.
Speaking at the ‘BML Scholarship Fund’ launching event, BML’s CEO and Managing Director, Tim Sawyer expressed his delightedness announcing the launch as the first initiative and through this, he announced how proud he was to be investing in the future for the Maldives as a nation. Tim also stated that the bank is happy to welcome ideas from the public to identify areas of investment that can benefit our communities.
