NDMA Warns The Public About Strong Winds Predicted In The Upcoming Days

The National Disaster Management Authority of Maldives (NDMA) has released a warning for the public to be safe due to the strong winds and rough seas predicted for the next three days. Due to the effect of low-pressure systems in the Arabian sea and the Bay of Bengal, winds are likely to strengthen over the Maldives during the coming days.

Hence, all people, specially those travelling by sea, are advised to take full safety precautions and be cautious of the weather while travelling in order to avoid regretful accidents. A recent incident that took place at sea had shattered the hearts of many where a mother and her son’s lives were lost due to a big wave caused by strong winds which resulted in the launch being submerged under-water.
