Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) widely known for the strives of excellence in all the projects the company takes in infrastructure developments and facilities of the community around Maldives, has undertaken several new projects. MTCC CEO, Adam Azim signed with Ministry of National Planning, Housing & Infrastructure’s Permanent Secretary, Zeeniya Hameed to implement various coastal protection and harbor development projects.
MTCC will develop the Coastal Protection Project for Lh.Kurendhoo in which the scope of the works include 91,000cbm beach filling, construction of a 361m breakwater and a 822m revetment. The value of the project is MVR 44.92 million and the project is to be completed within 365 days. Furthermore, the Harbor Development Project will also take place in B.Hithaadhoo in which the scope of the works include dredging and excavation operations of 19,030cbm, construction of a 22m groyne, a 495m breakwater, a 90m revetment, a 350m quay wall, installation of a 1750sqm harbor pavement, navigational aids and harbor lights. The value of the project is MVR 17.70 million. The project is to be completed within 540 days.
MTCC has also undertaken the implementation of Coastal Protection Project for Sh.Milandhoo in which the scope of the works include construction of a 954m revetment and a 115m groyne. The value of the project is MVR 36.69 million and the project is to be completed within 200 days. Additionally, the Harbor Development Project of R.Kinolhas will also take place where the scope of work include dredging and excavation operations construction of a 162m groyne, a 285m breakwater, a 65m revetment, a 186m quay wall, a ramp, installation of a 1663.36sqm harbor pavement, navigational aids and harbor lights. The value of the project is MVR 45.12 million. The project is to be completed within 420 days.
