Have A Free Testing For Hepatitis This Saturday At Iskandharu Maizaan

Hepatitis is the inflammation of the liver tissue. Some people or animals with hepatitis have no symptoms, whereas others develop symptoms with time. Some signs that show are yellow discoloration of the skin and whites of the eyes (jaundice), poor appetite, vomiting, tiredness, abdominal pain and diarrhea. Hepatitis B is mainly transmitted sexually and Hepatitis C is mainly transmitted through infectious blood such as during needle sharing or intravenous drug use.

Hands Together Maldives in association with WHO, HPA, SHE, World Health Alliance and World Hepatitis Day.org is organizing an informative event which will take place at Iskandharu Maizaan this November 13th, Saturday. At the event, free testing for HepB and HepC is available for the public with immediate results. The visitors can also enjoy live music from 4pm 5pm with informative speaking by Health Professionals.
