Hepatitis is the inflammation of the liver tissue. Some people or animals with hepatitis have no symptoms, whereas others develop symptoms with time. Some signs that show are yellow discoloration of the skin and whites of the eyes (jaundice), poor appetite, vomiting, tiredness, abdominal pain and diarrhea. Hepatitis B is mainly transmitted sexually and Hepatitis C is mainly transmitted through infectious blood such as during needle sharing or intravenous drug use.
