VP Faisal Marks The Importance Of Teaching Islam To Younger Generations

A special ceremony took place at Islamic Center on November 7^th as the country celebrated the day Maldives embraced Islam. VP, Faisal Naseem participated in the celebratory ceremony where he shed light on the importance of teaching and strengthening Islam as a religion to the younger generations.

As the world moves fast where more and more diverse cultures surrounding the younger generations, it is important to remain true to our faith and pass-on the teachings of Islam. VP Faisal reminded the values and ethics Islam teaches us adding that we must fortify the familial bonds while respecting each other, do good deeds, refrain from bad habits and extend assistance to whoever is in need.

VP Faisal called upon the parents to be more vigilant in the upbringing of their children and to learn lessons from everyday life as we work towards prosperity for our future and the hereafter. The ceremony was blessed with a special prayer by Sheikh Nasrullah Ali where members of the cabinet and other senior government officials attended along with VP Faisal.
