First Batch Of Ambulances Promised To Islands Dispatched

As per the signed Memorandum of Understanding between Ministry of Health and State Trading Organization in June 2021, the first batch of 20 ambulances out of 96 have arrived to Male’ on September 7th. 
 
As part of the government's promise to disburse the ambulances to different islands in the Maldives, a total of 96 ambulances have been purchased via STO. Health Minister, Ahmed Naseem stated the expansion of health services to local islands will begin once the new ambulances start operations. He also mentioned the easier access to emergency responses that have lacked in the past in some of the local islands. 

 
The first batch of ambulances are being distributed to the islands listed below.

The rest of the remaining batches of ambulances will be brought within the coming month as per STO. Apart from proving the ambulances to advance the health services provided across the country, the government also has numerous future development plans for Maldives.
