STELCO Hands Over Completed Block at Home for People with Special Needs in Guraidhoo Island

In line with the company’s CSR initiatives, State Electric Company Ltd has completed and handed over the renovated Block 5 at Home for People with Special Needs in Guraidhoo Island to the Ministry of Gender, Family, and Social Services.  
 
The scope of the renovations included renewing the tiles, renovating the kitchen and setting up a kitchen cupboard, repair damages and cracks on the walls, painting, and some furnishing works.  
 
The handover was signed by Managing Director of STELCO Hassan Muqny and Genger Minister Aishath Mohamed Didi. Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Aishath thanked STELCO for the contribution that has added 28 slots at the facility. This will greatly aid the government to provide services to those on the waiting list for the facility, whereby 199 people are currently being taken care of.  
 
Receiving the gratitute, MD Muqny assured that STELCO will continue to take up more CSR initiatives that will be of greater benefit to those in most need of it in the community, notably those who require special assistance.
