The Biggest Football Development Project in the Maldives Signed with Former Spanish Football Legend

A 6-year partnership has been signed between Football Association of the Maldivesplayers and former Spanish football star, Michel Salgado. The biggest football development project to take place in the Maldives so far, this initiative is a promising step ‘Towards Future’ for young sportsmen in the Maldives.  
 
Aimed at producing high performance players between the age of 12 – 17, trained at the center to play at Maldivian Premier League standard, the program will be carried out under the monitoring of Real Hispania FC by Salgado. His ultimate goal will be to produce players who will place direct professional contracts with teams at the end of their training.  
 
Phase 1 of the project will also focus on establishing 18 football schools across the nation.
