Maldives-Egypt in Talks To Expand Trade Coorperation

The Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Maldives, H.E. Hussain Al Saharty has paid a courtesy farewell visit to President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih at the President’s Office.  
 
During the meeting, both parties delved into the history of the bilateral relationships between both the nations, thanking each other for the continued support on a multitude of platforms. In highlight, they include the most recent scholarship opportunities awarded to Maldivian students from the prestigious Al-Azhar University; mutual interests shared in relevance to improving people-to-people relations; acceptance of the Maldives Covid Certificate in Egypt.  
 
Both parties also discussed at length the possible areas of trade cooperation that can be established between Maldives and Egypt.  
 
Ambassador Al Saharty commended President Solih for extending excellent hospitality to his administration over the years, and shared confidence in Maldives continuing to display keenness to enhance bilateral relations.
