On this World Mental Health Day, Bank of Maldives has committed to the mental wellbeing of its staff at the workplace. Recognizing the importance of a healthy work environment, BML partnered with Thibaa Psychology, Society for Health Education (SHE) and Institute of Mental Well-being (IMWB) to provide support programs and professional psychosocial services.
BML staff across the country will be offered regular consultations and individual counseling sessions under this program for free. Additionally, regular awareness sessions on parenting, work life balance and mental well-being at the workplace will also be conducted.
This initiative will encourage BML employees to seek professional assistance from leading service providers in the Maldives for their mental wellbeing. Ensuring BML employees can easily access quality mental healthcare and effective treatments, BML’s Deputy CEO Aishath Noordeen expressed her hopes of other institutions also following suit in promoting the importance of mental wellbeing for their employees everywhere.
“With increased recognition of the importance of mental health across the world, and the tremendous impact Covid-19 had on mental well-being, it is fitting that we, as one of the largest employers in the country, take this important step today.” she said.
BML has time and again been recognized on various platforms for implementing evolving human resource policies leading to providing the highest professional standards of employee recruitment, development, and reward in the country.
