The 4th Outlet of Authentic Maldives opens in Kuda Villingili Resort!

A Special ceremony was held to commemorate the opening of the 4th Outlet of Authentic Maldives in Kuda Villingili Resort. The launching of this outlet signifies even further progress towards the national objective of facilitating the integration of SMEs into the tourism value chain. 

 
In attendance were Chief Guest Minister Mausoom Maus, Minister of Economic Development, Fayaz Ismail, Minister for Arts, Culture & Heritage, Yumna Maumoon, Japanese Ambassador to the Maldives, Ms. Keiko Yanai, the Resident Representative of UNDP to the Maldives Mr. Enrico Gaveglia and the Chairman of Kuda Villingili Resort, Dr Mohamed Ali. 

The Japanese Ambassador, Her Excellency Ms. Keiko Yanai also launched the official Authentic Maldives Website. The website is funded by the government of Japan under the UNDP Maldives Sustainable Economic Empowerment and Development for SME’s (SEEDS) Projects. The website will feature international worldwide shipping and share Supplier Stories along with store promotions, special offers, and news and updates from BCC. 

 
Authentic Maldives is an initiative of the Ministry of Economic Development to promote genuine local products, which is being operationalized through the Business Center Corporation. The initiative was introduced in January 2020 with a vision to identify and nurture the most remarkable creative entrepreneurs in the country, help them embellish their craft and expose their talent to the global marketplace.
