#NeithaHalleh by UNDP encourages you to submit your creative ideas and solutions!

UNDP Maldives Accelerator Lab's #NeithaHalleh encourages you to submit your creative ideas and solutions based on the theme of this year's Tourism Day, "Tourism for Inclusive Growth."

Linking to this year’s theme for World Tourism Day - Tourism for Inclusive Growth, their second solutions mapping exercise is going to focus on sustainable tourism. With this, they aim to map existing local solutions that ensure direct and equitable economic, social, and environmental benefits to the local community from tourism.

The UNDP Maldives Accelerator Lab operates on the premise that the solutions to the problems that they are seeking to address, already exist and a lot of those solutions and deep-rooted knowledge and thinking could contribute to the development of holistic solutions are out there already! With you! And that is why solutions mapping is a crucial component of their practice at the Accelerator Lab.

The primary objective of their solutions mapping exercises is to map and provide visibility to existing local solutions and local innovators.
When they map local solutions, it is never with the intent of evaluating them but rather with the intention of learning from what has is already being done at the grassroots. UNDP believes that there could be multiple solutions to anyone single problem and most importantly every solution must start from somewhere, it is never perfect and there is always room for improvement.

The real magic happens when you share your great ideas and collaborate with other great minds passionate about solving the same challenges that keep you up at night!

A solution could be defined as a product, service offering, business model, organizing principle, or community practice solution, owned by an individual, government institution, civil society organization, or even a business.

A solution can be at different stages: It can be: just an idea or something that you are currently working to develop; or better yet something that has been tested and proven.

So, if you have got a solution, we want to hear from you before the deadline on the 31st of October 2021.
