Maldivian Airlines organizes first international route since the COVID-19 pandemic!

According to National Airline, Maldivian commences preparations to begin direct flights between N. Maafaru International Airport and New Delhi, India. The service commencing on the 21st of October 2021: promises to deliver three weekly flights: scheduled on - Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. 

The Maafaru-New Delhi service will be the first international route organized by Maldivian since the COVID-19 pandemic. The airline said the airfare for a round trip from Maafaru to New Delhi will be USD 285, while a round trip from New Delhi to Maafaru will cost USD 312. Tickets can be purchased through Maldivian's website and its mobile application once the route is launched. 
The airline has said flight frequency will be increased throughout the coming months depending on passenger demand. 
 
 
In Addition, Air Astana will resume flights from 4th October operating four weekly flights whereas Austrian airlines will operate three weekly flights in time for the holidays in Austria.  

Flight operations to Velana International Airport and the aviation industry in general are expected to remain busy throughout the new year season.
