In a special ceremony held at the Maldives Autism Association yesterday, Maldives Airports company Limited has made a generous donation to MAA for the purchase of special Curriculum and Training equipment.
The donation was handed over by Ahmed Ibrahim, Deputy Chief Officer of MACL and received gracefully by Dr. Ismail Shafeeu, Chief Executive Officer of MAA. The grant is part of MACL’s CSR initiatives focused on helping the local community.
Promoting the Emergence of Advance Knowledge (PEAK) and tools will be used to teach autistic children with innovative techniques. It will cover language and cognition across a spectrum of individuals with autism and neurodevelopmental delays associated disabilities using problem solving and critical thinking lessons. 4 unique learning modules of PEAK has been proven to raise IQ improved adaptive functioning in children, and further enhance their expressive and receptive language.
Additionally, the grant will cover essential training for 2 teachers from MAA respectively.
