Aasandha Reverts Eases Given Amid Pandemic Onset for Certain Services

In the wake of Covid19, a number of changes were brought to the Aasandha Scheme to ease the many challenges patients were facing amid the restrictions.

Aasandha instructed approved pharmacies to release medicine under the service for the same prescription twice. Given the improvements in the pandemic situation, Aasandha has revised this decision and therefore, starting October 1, 2021, patients are required to get a fresh doctor’s prescription to take medicine again.

Additionally, Aasandha will also discontinue serving to new borns of 28 days and older for their mother’s identity cards. This ease was given to all babies born post January 1, 2020 in light of the pandemic interrupting the service provisions in government offices. As before, parents will be required to submit the child’s identification if they are older than 28 days from November 1, 2021 onwards.

Aasandha further advises the public to ensure an up-to-date original ID Card, Passport, or Driver’s License is presented when requesting fro Aasandha services. However, the company continues to serve upon presentation of a picture of the identification as of now.
