HDC Extends Due Date for Flat Exchange Request Submission for Hiyaa Flats

Previously announced to be due on August 30, Housing Development Corporation has extended the deadline of the request for exchange of Hiyaa flat submission until 2 p.m. on Thursday, September 2. the extension was considered due to significant requests from flat owners.  
 
HDC has allocated a dedicated counter in the hall of Huravee School in Hulhumale to accept the request forms.  
 
Flats can be reallocated among a maximum of 4 flat winners. Below are the pointers to keep in mind for the request: 

  • If two people are exchanging flats, fill in and submit the HF3 form along with NID copies of the flat winners. 
  • If a group of 3 or 4 people are requesting to reallocate flats, fill and submit HF3b or HF3c form respectively, along with NID copies of all members in the group.  

 
Each flat winner can submit only one form under their name, and should the requester wish to remove the request, it should be informed in writing to HDC. The corporation will be updating the applicants duly of the status of their application, and if any additional information is required. The evaluation process will commence once the deadline is passed.  
 
A fee of MVR 1500 is taken from flat winners requesting to exchange flats post signing the agreement with HDC.  
 
HDC will be issuing further details of the evaluation and payment process in the near future.
