New Classrooms Built In Kinolhas School and Lhohi School Under Indian Grant

 
A virtual ceremony was held yesterday to mark the completion of new classrooms in both N.Lhohi school and R.Kinolhas school. This is the fifth children-oriented project under India’s grant assistance inaugurated in Maldives.

Participating in the ceremony was the Minister of Education, Dr.Aishath Ali, Foreign Secretary, Abdul Ghafoor Mohamed, High Commissioner of India to the Maldives, Sunjay Sudhir, High Commissioner of Maldives to India, Dr.Hussain Niyaz, Secretary Multilateral, Dr.Hala Hameed and senior officials from Education Ministry and both schools.

This project was funded with a combined grant of MVR 12 Million under the Indian Grant Assistance of MVR 106 million. In the project it included the construction of additional classrooms accommodating students in a single session of school, allowing students to coordinate extra-curricular activities. Furthermore, the new classrooms provide access to differently abled students. 

Speaking at the event, the Foreign Secretary, Abdul Ghafoor emphasized the necessity of developing a holistic education system for the children of Kinolhas School and Lhohi School to improve their academic performance and overall enjoyment of school life.
