Even Better Opportunities to Excell in the Field of Travel and Tourism with MNU + Constance Resorts Maldives Agreement

The Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Studies at Maldives National University is the biggest faculty in the Maldives providing academic opportunities for promising candidates to excel in the field of Travel and Tourism. The industry being the biggest economic contributor in the country, MNU is constantly looking for ways to enhance the existing relations between FHTS and the tourism industry towards capacity development.

In this regard, the university has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Constance Resorts Maldives in a collaboration that will create a number of training, experience and educational opportunities for the students and teachers at FHTS, and staff at the Constance resorts in the Maldives.
The signing took place in a ceremony held for the occasion at MNU on Thursday. While Vice Chancellor Dr. Mohamed Shareef signed on behalf of MNU, General Managers of Constance Moofushi and Constance Halaveli, Mr. Henri Arnulphy and Mr. Tangi Le Grand agreed on the agreement on behalf of the resorts respectively.

Detailing the arrangement, MNU stated that a wide range of collaborations will take place under the agreement. It will further open up internship opportunities, and if completed duly, create employment opportunities for students of FHTS at the resorts. The collaboration will hopefully add the much-needed field experience aspect to the courses provided at the faculty, which in return will produce more potential candidates into the field in the future.
