Family Legal Clinic Celebrates 7 Years Of Pro Bono Legal Services

 
Family Legal Services is a NGO based in Maldives to provide pro bono legal services in family law and prevention of domestic violence law. Family Legal Services celebrates its huge success of 7 years of Pro Bono Legal Services. Contributing to the success, they have also reached all 21 administrative divisions in the Maldives. 

Family Legal Clinic (FLC) is a pro bono legal service founded in August 2014, the pro bono legal service providers are a group of young and enthusiastic professionals, including two lawyers and a journalist. FLC was registered as an independent NGO. It is the first initiative of its kind in the Maldives and focuses on providing pro bono legal consultations and awareness in the areas of family law and prevention of domestic violence law.  

Between the year 2014 to 2021, they have reached 840 people located around 76 islands in all the 21 administrative divisions of the Maldives. 

They have stated that it is a privilege to serve the community and hopes to continue helping people to fight for legal justice.
