Over 20,000 Students Have Received Their First Doze Of Vaccines

As the Government of Maldives continues its promise to get 90% of the eligible community of Maldives vaccinated before September 1, it is our duty as citizens to uphold the works we can do as a community to support this.

The tiresome work done by the health professionals and the government is remarkable as more and more citizens are made aware of the dangers of the pandemic and the revolutionary benefit the vaccine gives in fighting against the ill effects of the virus. Recently, Pfizer vaccines were introduced to the younger population from ages 12 to 17 years and both parents and students are being educated on the vaccines.

Yesterday, the Ministry of Education celebrated the completion of the first doze of Pfizer to over 20,000 students aged 12 to 17 years. This is more than the 50% of the eligible population for this age group hence it is a big accomplishment for the government and the citizens of Maldives.
